The cosmic combination of Dylan James and Shell Kira Byrne create a magical blend of the singer-songwriter style of the late 60s with contemporary folk, blues and roots, to deliver a full and diverse sound. The Wandering Minstrels have a wealth of musical experience to draw from. As a solo artist, Dylan has performed and busked his way around the country. With his unique ability to capture your attention, he promotes awareness towards humanity's place within the circle of life. Shell Kira's musical background includes many years as a solo performer and as a member of several different bands, and touring Scotland and Ireland with her Celtic duo. The Wandering Minstrels 2009 EP "Intimate Universal Encounter" is a taste of this duo's beautifully crafted sound, and they are currently recording a full length album. Their music has been well received during live performances at various festivals around the nation, including The Adelaide Fringe Festival, Autumn Arts Festival, Fleurieu Folk Festival and The National Folk Festival. A recent highlight for the duo was performing on the Indian Pacific Railway journey from WA to SA.
