April 2009 saw the launch of SHE SAID YOU's long-awaited debut EP, Kamo Way. The band has made some serious noise since they hit the airwaves in '08. Now they're back with Kamo Way, and their critically acclaimed signature sound that's won them support gigs alongside Eskimo Joe, Hoodoo Gurus, Evermore, You Am I and many more.
The band has enjoyed widespread support and publicity during its career; however it's the current anthology of distinctive rock sounds with a pop sensibility that will assert the band's presence.
SHE SAID YOU's debut single, "Dark Sunglasses" was unearthed on Australia's national radio station, Triple J, in 2008. Following this, community & university radio stations throughout Australia and abroad added the band's first release to their playlists, including Nova 919 Adelaide, 3RRR Melbourne, SYN 90.7, 95bFM Auckland University (New Zealand) and Moscow's Radio Ultra 70.19FM (Russia).
The band recorded fourteen more tracks in their home studio, which have been mixed by legendary Australian producer Phil McKellar (Silverchair, Grinspoon, Spiderbait) and mastered by Don Bartley. The result: a concise collection of some of these rock/pop tracks that create an honest and passionate EP, with the raw sound that can be expected of a SHE SAID YOU live show. "Close My Eyes" is the third track on Kamo Way and has fast become a crowd favourite in the band's set. This premiere EP clearly establishes the musical identity that is SHE SAID YOU.
